Wow, I never thought I'd get to this point it's been a long time coming.
This isn't the greatest animation ever but it's something that I promised myself I'd finish instead of adding it to a pile of unfinished projects that I had nothing to show for but the practice that they gave me.
After this thing is finally done, I can finally move on and start making new content faster than before, and who knows maybe I'll develope an even greater following.
Out of about 20 scenes I'm on the 16th, need to clean up a few more things and then I'm going to do a second go over of all the scenes of this video before I start the coloring process.
Blow me nice or blow me twice.
Cleaning up the rough animation scene by scene. Trying to blaze through it so I might end up going back over for a second pass.
So far 20 scenes in the project, for a total of 105 seconds. Some scenes are longer and more fucked up than others.
Once everything looks and moves nicely, the coloring starts, which is really what I can't wait to start adding.
Still trying to come up with a score, or any kind of music to make the action pop, I'm open to suggestions here.
Well I'm finally done with college.
Worked a couple sales jobs which sucked but paid nicely.
Finished the rough animation of a project so hopefully I'll have something new posted.
So this beast already had 2.5TB of harddrive space spread across 3 drives, but it had an empty slot! And I happened to have a 1TB HD freshly wiped and sitting around. So Now my comp has 3.5TB of HD space spread across 4 drives. I won't go into the other specs but yeah it's noice.
I managed to get my hands on a Mac Tower that has more than twice the computing power of my current laptop.
This should make things like painting bigger more elaborate pictures, and making longer animations much more managable.
It should also make the daunting task of meddling with 3D software like MAYA easier since it shouldn't lag on basic functions.
This was a comic inspired by conversations with @Shauna
In other news I'm still working on multiple animation projects but I've been derailed by starting up another one to comemorate my new website www.jamesrobbins.net
returns with Onyx.
I love this transparent version lol.
What's up Newgrounds?
I just finished my new personal website! Basically it's an online portfolio I can use to post my work for people and potential clients to browse. I also added a custom blog to the home page so I can add basic updates easier.
You can check it out at www.jamesrobbins.net
In other news, I've been commissioned to do the typography and album art for a local band and plan to have that done before the end of the month.
I'm also writting a short cartoon to commemorate my website and hopefully bring in more traffic now that it's up and running.
I'm also working on other projects so I can update my portfolio with more artwork.
I also plan to start posting in the Portal is Under Attack thread again ( http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1323858 ) as a way of warming up for painting/animating
So for 8 months Apple and Adobe have engaged in a finger pointing battle over who's fault it is for the stylus lag in Photoshop CS6 (and CC) but it's clear that no real progress has been made in 8 months. So... I've been forced to download plugins, and turn off rulers, and sacrifice virgins to the blood god Khorne in hopes of fixing it, with moderate luck but not complete success.
At least my mouth feels wierd instead of like nails driving into my jaw now that I've gotten those wisdom teeth pulled.
Also in an effort to be more active on NG I have joined the 2nd Annual NG Hunger Games. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1395027
