Working on portfolio website and meltdown.

Posted by DarkMatter - July 10th, 2015

I've been trying to make art on my tablet monitor for months, and I'd keep having problems with the stylus.  So after a severe meltdown due to having dificulties applying a simple brush stroke in PS, I smashed the fucking stylus nearly in half.  So now I am stuck with animating on my tablet PC which is still my favorite animating tool so that's cool, but digital painting has basically grinded to a halt, not like I submit anything anyway.  BUT I spent 12 bucks on a new (more reliable looking) stylus for my specific tablet monitor and it should arive within the next 5 days, so I'm excited to see it perfom, because if it doesn't I'm going to have to do more troubleshooting without breaking anymore hardware.

Also haven't been on NG lately because I'm working on alot of side projects including a website portfolio, probably won't post anything on NG until I'm done with it and it's online.  I'm thinking about writing a short cartoon to sort of make fun of myself and then post that as a comemortative piece, but we'll see.  Don't want to be too masocistic.

it'll be nice to be able to work with a working tablet tho i'm sure. but also dang thats a nice price for the new stylus you ordered! i'm sure you'll be able to figure out something tho. oh man how much of the portfolio do you have so far?

Just about everything that is in my NG Art and Movies will go up there, but I have some animations that never made it to NG that I will probably stick up there. I'm hoping to do more digital art when my stylus comes in and hopefully it works well considering I made sure it was compatible with my monitor. If the stylus doesn't perform then I might have to look into getting a cintiq monitor or a faster computer.
